I'm Heba Kalakeche, a certified speech-language pathologist and mother of two. For over a decade, I've helped families raise children in English, French, and Arabic — turning everyday moments into opportunities for language and connection.
My ultimate goal is helping you connect with your kids in your language and through your culture, for a multilingual parenting experience unique to your family.

I've been a certified speech-language pathologist since 2012, working with children and families across Quebec, the broader Canadian diaspora, and internationally.
My clinical background is in early language intervention, multilingual development, and supporting families navigating more than one language at home.
I'm Lebanese-Canadian. I grew up code-switching between Arabic, French, and English, and I'm raising my two children the same way. I know what it feels like to hold on to a heritage language while a child is absorbing the dominant one in school. I know the worry that comes with a slow-talking toddler. I also know the research, and the research is mostly very, very reassuring.
Les Kids' Kalam is where I put that clinical training and that lived experience together. The goal is simple: give families research-backed, practical tools to raise children who are confident, connected, and fluent in the languages that belong to them.
Beyond one-on-one work with families, I regularly work in daycares, train educators and lead workshops for parents on multilingual language development and stimulation, and I've spoken on Middle East radio on topics affecting Arabic-speaking families raising children abroad.
